In spite of being a small state, Uttarakhand has a lot in store. Ranging from the snow-covered mountains, sparkling rivers, lakes, Dams, scenic glaciers and beautiful green forest, it has it all! Actually, it is confusing to choose the right places for a trip of weeks. I have shortlisted some important and majestic place without which your trip will be incomplete.

Kausani

It is a small village with an amazing panoramic view of the of distant snow-covered mountains. Abundance of greenery, pollution free climate will fill your heart with sheer delight.  Kausani is full of dense pine forest and tea gardens. Major attractions are the Temple town of Bageshwar situated at the joining of the river Sarayu and Gomti, the Gandhi Ashram, the Rudradhari fall and caves.

Dunagiri 

Dunagiri in Almora district is a beautiful and significant place where you can enjoy nature experiences in such immaculate, peaceful and mild environment. You will be amazed to see its panoramic beauty and staying at Dunagiri Nature Retreat will rejuvenate your mind.

Bhowali

Bhowali is one of the amazing towns of Nanital district of Uttarakhand state. This place is famous for hill fruit mart, which was established in 1912. It is a travel destination for those who want to spend their pleasant time surrounded by tranquillity and peace.Bhowali is rich in varied flora and fauna.

Joshimath

Joshimath is a popular hill station and a famous place for pilgrimage at the height of 1,890mts above the sea level in chamoli district Garhwal division in Uttrakhand. Joshimath is the base for trekking to the famous valley of flowers. The best time to visit Joshimath and for the trip is from mid July till end-august.

Almora

Almora is famous for its wonderful beauty, panoramic view of the Himalayas, rich culture, unique handcrafts, and delicious cuisine. The scenic view and famous pilgrim destination of Almora attracts hundreds of tourists each year. Chitai (Golu Devta ) Nanda Devi temple are famous temples of Almora. You can also enjoy the beauty of sunrise and sunset at bright end corner, which is 2km from Almora.
